Our April meeting us coming fast. The date is next Friday, April 21st at 7:30 PM. We will be in our new venue–the Detroit Observatory. Members will get an email with Zoom connection info if they wish to participate remotely.
Since this is the first meeting at the Detroit Observatory, a couple reminders:
- Enter the Observatory on the East side of the new addition of the complex. No stair climbing is necessary!
- Do not try the entrance on the dome side of the building on top of the hill.
Our speaker this month is Dr. Jeff Morgenthaler from the Planetary Science Institute in Maine. His talk title is “Studying Volcanic Activity on Jupiter’s Moon Io Using Equipment You Can Buy at a Camera Shop.” He will be joining us via Zoom.
Officer Elections will be held at the beginning of our business meeting, and nominations are still open.
